Back Yard Camping & New Projects

How is everyone's summer going?? To me it seems to be going really fast this year, is that because I am getting old, or does it seem that way to everyone? We have been lucky enough to have some cooler temps this summer so my sister and I got extra camper time in, OH twist our arm, lol! She came up Sunday night at 10pm, it is never too late for us to start our projects! She is making jewelry and we have started soldering. I am just making some charms for fun from vintage findings that you can find in my Etsy store soon. She has started her Etsy store called The Mason Jar, There are some really pretty bracelets made from vintage beads and intaglios. Check it out sometime! Isn't this a neat china piece she did? The photo at the top is our 1st batch of soldering. Not bad for 1st timers, lol.

She also brought me this cute vintage cherry box for the camper:-)

Here are my charms that I did the 2nd time we got together, they would work great for packages or something fun!.......

This photo is my fireplace mantel, I redid to give a fresh summer look. I like it so well I just might leave it like that for while! What do you think?
Gotta run, time to go water the flowers.........What are everyone's plans for the weekend? Hopefully something fun!
*hugs*
Michelle

Hi Michelle....I love the charms! I'm crashing your next get together....I'd love to learn how to do this soldering. I'll bring treats, okay:)?

Your mantel looks wonderful, just so pretty and the dress form is cool too! I say leave it just as is and then change it out for the fall. Have a happy weekend my friend, hugs, Linda

Hi Michelle, thank you for the sweet wishes for my birthday. I'm just having a fun day and tonight out for dinner and then ice cream pie...yum. Later this week we are taking a road trip to a neat antique place about an hour or so away. It will be a fun day and if I find a treasure that's a bonus.
I love B.P. and I had no idea we shared the same day. She is such a wonderful artist and I adore and collect her little figurines. If you ever get a chance rent the B.P. movie...it is good and I think you'd enjoy it.

Have a happy day...and please try and make it for pie:). Hugs, linda

I love the paperdoll charms! Glad you and your sister have been able to get out to the camper more this summer! Last year it was sooo hot. I'm still brainstorming ideas for our trailer. It's a utility trailer but hubby said I get to do whatever I want =) Blessings... Polly

Hi Michelle...me again. I just wanted to let you know that you inspired me...I have 2 sterling silver tea spoons that belonged to my Great grandmother that are showing some wear...I was unsure what to do with them but I think I may "decorate" them the way you have yours spoons decorated in the Etsy shop...that way I can display them and enjoy them instead of having them stuck in the kitchen drawer! You always come up with such wonderful ideas!
